Your thinking, doing, saying, intending, worshiping, politicking, loving, hating, fearing, and all the other things ending in “ing” are successors to a silent will that knows nothing, needs nothing, makes no judgments, and holds everything. Repress the bad and exploit the good, even though recognition of either is the heart of suffering. Stop it!
The predecessor of suffering exists before bad and good take form, and it is what YOU are that whispers to a conflicted mind, busy doing all its “ing’s.” Lose all definitions of yourself and everyone/everything else, and all that is left is the infinite, e.g., YOU, birthing the totality. Your mind is the door, but it blocks it with the noise of all its “doings.” Silence is the key to discovering what lies beyond it.

The aware act well, participate fully, and appear to know what they are doing, even though they know nothing. They are free from the burden of self-importance and self-confidence that marries them to good and evil, right and wrong, and myriad other thoughts and beliefs humans wrap themselves in.
You are not better because you are aware, even though it may look that way to others. Awareness comes without ratings and rules. You “know” that knowing nothing is the ultimate knowing. This, I “don’t” know.

Life’s most effective sounding board is silence. If you take your thoughts with you into experience, you’ll never know the peace life so wholly and sweetly offers. You can tell all in a quiet moment, and all you’ll get back is an embrace and love so deep it swallows every concern. Are you listening?

“The road less traveled” is the only road you will ever be on, not the route you fantasize about being better. The contemplative wanderer never reaches a crossroads, and so “the road” always blossoms into life experienced and everlasting.
Don’t look for signs along the way, nor post any of your own. Where you are going is where you are now, and no other will ever know the splendor you and you alone experience. It’s a beautiful road not found on any map, forged alone by YOU. “Happy trails!”

Ego asks why, but only because it already assumes an answer, making “asking why” an attempt to confirm or add to what it has already determined. Rarely, if ever, will ego ask and accept a solution that doesn’t align with its already predetermined knowing, and even if it did, ego is incapable of knowing “why” about anything anyway.
What YOU are, that has no connection to ego, other than the observation of it, never asks why because it does not need to know. Do you see? “Not-knowing” gives way to perfect unattached, unbiased living, and all that shines through such living is joy and realization that the only effort needed to live is an awareness that miracles constantly unfold around you. YOU are the greatest miracle of them all!
Ask not why you live as you live. Seek only to embrace the miracle and mystery of YOU who is living it. There’s nothing better than you, knowing YOU!

The beauty of silence is that it has no interpretation; thus, no misinterpretation. When silent, YOU are at your creative peak. Shhhh.

Encounters with friends, acquaintances, family, doctors, employers, teachers, leaders, etc., typically take the form of an idea that you are something you think they think you are. However, at that moment of first thought, you cease being what you are. From there, the dance of the unreal begins!
You are likely so good at the transition that you don’t even notice it happening. We all are. It’s almost as if we have a role to play in a play of our own making whose ending is scripted, well-rehearsed, and perfectly timed!
Act 2: “You are what you think” only has relevance in human affairs, and while you can’t “not” be human, you can stop “thinking” like one. The unassumed is the best role in the only play that’s real. You’re “real” when you no longer know, consciously or unconsciously, the plot. Mysteries are just more interesting anyway!

As long as you have “reasons” to remember, you cannot forgive. Life is an incomprehensible, irrevocable mystery, perfectly formed and flawlessly executed. It is without memory or consequence, and the only glimmer you will ever have of its nature is to forgive all you have strapped to its performance. That is, remember nothing and no one you hold to account.
What you cannot forgive makes you unforgivable, but life lives you regardless. It’s just more enjoyable when your reasons for misery no longer exist. You did what? I don’t remember!

It is a fallacy to assume you “see people as they are.” At best, you only see what you think, which is always wrong. What is not a fallacy is that what you think of others is the small, constant leak of your power and never-ending connection to the unreal. In other words, you cannot know “what YOU are” if you think you possess the mental tools to know someone else.
Life moves without reason or opinion, and its power is vast enough for all that is, whether you get it or not. However, it will elude you entirely if you think you actually “get it.” Stopping your leakage means containing the thought that you have the unique ability to see the leaks in others. All that leakage—what a mess! Do some cleanup on yourself.

Compassion extends beyond your concern for another’s pain, loss, or suffering. Its most generous outreach is when you give way to the reality that you can do nothing to ease it. It is there that you are whole, which others can embrace while letting go.
