Encounters with friends, acquaintances, family, doctors, employers, teachers, leaders, etc., typically take the form of an idea that you are something you think they think you are. However, at that moment of first thought, you cease being what you are. From there, the dance of the unreal begins!
You are likely so good at the transition that you don’t even notice it happening. We all are. It’s almost as if we have a role to play in a play of our own making whose ending is scripted, well-rehearsed, and perfectly timed!

Act 2: “You are what you think” only has relevance in human affairs, and while you can’t “not” be human, you can stop “thinking” like one. The unassumed is the best role in the only play that’s real. You’re “real” when you no longer know, consciously or unconsciously, the plot. Mysteries are just more interesting anyway!

As long as you have “reasons” to remember, you cannot forgive. Life is an incomprehensible, irrevocable mystery, perfectly formed and flawlessly executed. It is without memory or consequence, and the only glimmer you will ever have of its nature is to forgive all you have strapped to its performance. That is, remember nothing and no one you hold to account.

What you cannot forgive makes you unforgivable, but life lives you regardless. It’s just more enjoyable when your reasons for misery no longer exist. You did what? I don’t remember!

It is a fallacy to assume you “see people as they are.” At best, you only see what you think, which is always wrong. What is not a fallacy is that what you think of others is the small, constant leak of your power and never-ending connection to the unreal. In other words, you cannot know “what YOU are” if you think you possess the mental tools to know someone else.

Life moves without reason or opinion, and its power is vast enough for all that is, whether you get it or not. However, it will elude you entirely if you think you actually “get it.” Stopping your leakage means containing the thought that you have the unique ability to see the leaks in others. All that leakage—what a mess! Do some cleanup on yourself.

Compassion extends beyond your concern for another’s pain, loss, or suffering. Its most generous outreach is when you give way to the reality that you can do nothing to ease it. It is there that you are whole, which others can embrace while letting go.

Truth gets swept into the unimportant and the unnecessary, and you hold the broom that so masterfully does the sweeping. The clear view is not beholden to thought; the only thing needing sweeping is what you believe. Clear your mind, and the house is without the need for sweeping.

If all that is is spiritual (and it is), then any position you take, belief you hold, and judgments you make are no more spiritual than others you disparage. Spirituality has nothing to do with your sense of right but everything to do with your sense of wrong. That is, loving the wrong you compare to your right.
Love and spirituality know no opposites. Do you?

How much do you really know? How much can you know? The paradox of human affairs is that we “think” we’re pretty smart and make well-informed decisions and assessments when, in reality, we never have enough data. All judgments are speculative at best and always based on insufficient information.
Question your thoughts as incessantly as they permeate your mind. You may not be able to stop them, but you may get an ever so slight chance to withhold ill-advised judgments and unnecessary complications in your dealings with others.

The great thing about home; your inner home, that is, is that it never needs to be built. No education, contracts, architectural or engineering drawings, furnishings, landscaping, etc., are required. It is the most beautiful and elegant place in the universe, and all it takes to enter is to vacate all your busy mind’s preconception, judgment, and reason.
Perfection cannot be dreamed, thought, master-planned, or achieved. You enter it, and the good news is that it is always right here, right now, waiting for you to stop by.

Humans love to point at differences and use them to divide one from another. “My way or the highway,” and you are “less than” if you do not see it my way, and of course, “my way” is so pristine, rational, spiritual, and sound, etc., that “I” will always be on higher ground, than you so there can be no argument.
The collective “noise” is your noise, not your security or confirmation of a viewpoint. It is your separation from diversity. All lost because of a fixation on your point of view. It’s not worth it.
Harmony is lost to your perspective, and so too are love, peace, and connection. Forget the collective, else the loss to you will ripple through eternity. You will miss out on something breathtaking.

Wanting is not a driver of getting. Seriously, can you think of anything more grand and wondrous than the breath you are taking right now, your heart beating to a cosmic rhythm, and the essence of all that is coursing through you? How could you “want” anything more incredible than the sun on your face or raindrops tapping your window, a lover’s kiss, a friend’s warm embrace, or a smile?
When you pander to the universe, as we are oft told to do, you give way to the mundane, the selfish, and the unreal. The ultimate joy lies beneath anything you could wish for, and it quietly awaits you to be present with all that you already have, all that you already are. Simply, YOU have everything, and “having” everything means YOU “are” everything! YOU are “joy,” but only when you “want” for nothing!
