What you experience has nothing to do with what you think or believe it to be, nor does it contain any whys or wherefores. You see, humans have an uncanny ability to tack on to “what is” what isn’t and glom onto their assessments as if they could not be anything but real. They’re not. Experience’s “realness” lies only in what you “don’t” think it is.
Nothing you experience is orchestrated, planned, predestined, or set before you to learn cosmic lessons; therefore, everything happens without meaning. You navigate experience with noise and make-believe or with silent wonder and surprise.
It’s more exciting and far less complicated when you experience “experience” without sideshow (mind-based) commentary, analysis, and critique. Of course, you’ll never know until you don’t know. You can’t make it a happy day based on anything you think will make it so, but you can certainly be happy.

What you plan for is likely to become the object of your frustration. Only because plans become overly important to the mind (you) who creates them, and no plan, no matter how sophisticated, will ever resolve the quirky, unsophisticated ramblings of life unfolding as it does.
Make your plans, but never forget that the only important thing in life is life. That is the life you experience right now, and if that aligns with your “plans,” consider yourself lucky, and if it doesn’t, allow yourself to meander a new side-road full of adventure and surprise.
Nothing you do is important. Knowing what YOU are is. Sometimes, keeping your heart means losing your mind and all its preparations for what may or may not come.

Outside anything thought otherwise, you are the guardian of “otherness” you (and everyone) experience occasionally. However, all that “thinking” you do transforms the guardian into a guard protecting you from otherness and tying you to the world’s logic and routines. Do you see?
The guardian of mystery doesn’t protect you from the unknown. It walks you through it while the guard keeps you tightly locked up and secured from it. Routine and familiarity are not safety. They’re tyranny.
YOU know the way through any prison. It doesn’t require any proclamations or sword-wielding demonstrations of boldness, courage, strength, or bravery. Walk past your guards who sleep in constant noise. Shh, don’t wake them!

Everything you believe is a description of something unreal coupled with the addition of hope that “it,” whatever that may be, somehow, is real. In other words, your beliefs are the highway to nowhere and the Fastrack away from what, actually, is real.
You experience the “real” when your explanations, hopes, wishes, and dreams of it cease to enter into any aspect of it. That is, the less you believe, the more real your experience of now will be, and there is nothing quite like a full-on experience of your experience!
Now, don’t “believe” me because that won’t get you there. Just unplug your mind from your experience and take only what you get. That will be enough!

There is no such thing as spiritual mastery, and your pursuit of it only puts you at odds with the human experience you’re supposed to have. Too many of us hinge our lives on things happening that overwhelm our beliefs and security and shock our senses, then complain that life is too much (take the constant blather of how awful the year (current year) has been, for example).
Nothing goes “wrong” in human experience except for your idea of how it’s supposed to be, and that “idea” is the foundation of all spiritual ideology and the source of frustrating pursuits that never yield the “mastery” you seek.
Mastery of life is living this moment without conflict with what you think it should look like. In other words, don’t be at odds with what is happening or with those who think “what is happening” is what should or shouldn’t be happening. They’re as nutty as you are! Love nuts and enjoy each moment with them. Doing so will never be “mastery,” but it will be spiritual.

The motive force of all creatures, including humans, is survival. However, humans have an evolutionary nuance that allows them to make up what they consider essential to survival. Do you see?
All the stuff humans make up about human existence is also all they find wrong with it. You came here with nothing, and you will leave with nothing, and everything you uphold, believe, and gather between arrival and departure is nothing.
You have so little time to experience this miracle of life that anything you wrap yourself up in as important blinds you to its treasure. Living requires no opinion, causes, or inventory whatsoever. You know how to live. Stop listening to all the babble humans make up about how to do so! You’ve got this.

The time to let go is now—always now. To hold on to all the things “modern living” vies for adds to the pile of unimportant junk that frustrates living in general. There are few things you must do, and unless you give the green light to do them, they have no power over you.
Turn off that news or social media feed, take the scenic route to work, and slow down. Turn off your phone for an hour or six, close your laptop, pause, smile, and casually but firmly say no to that lunch invite; it’s time you could put to calmer use. And by all means, don’t fill this moment with anything the non-existent future demands. Did you get that? The future (and past) is “non-existent!” Let go and see if you don’t make it to the end of the day. I bet you do.

Self-importance is the mountain no one successfully climbs. Its incline is steep, and its peak extends forever in the mind that struggles to reach it. Eventually, you’re in the clouds where you can no longer see anything but your ego-imagined self. There is nothing of value on the mountain of self-importance.
Nothing you do in any walk of life is important. That you are “what YOU are” while walking is. YOU have no measure in human “being.”

Have you ever noticed that happiness comes without wanting anything else? When you are happy, you’re not thinking about what you want to replace it. It’s the complete package of present-moment awareness, containing everything worth having right then and there.
Isn’t that the way of presence, experiencing “what is” without the pull of unnecessary desires stealing reality? What you want is always right in front of you. It’s not a lesson, revelation, or previous dream that has come true. It is what it is, and nothing you want will ever replace it or alter it, so why add a single “want” to it?
“What is” is yours to disparage or embrace. Since you cannot change anything, why not just embrace it? Seriously, what more could you “want?”

Awareness contains breathtaking mysteries and other worlds passing in front of your eyes that get hijacked by your point of view. In other words, your thinking is not the harbinger of reality but its destroyer.
Don’t try to unravel what you experience. Doing so will only sully the sanctity of it, and you will miss the unfathomable. The awareness of mystery unveils in silence, and so will YOU if you silence what you think!
