Finding “what YOU are” (SELF) is not an intellectual inquiry, even though science, biology, philosophy, psychology, and sociology would have you believe otherwise. None of these identification sources were with you at birth, and none will be with you at death, and yet somehow, you have and will always know there is something beyond the descriptions humans give to life.
Let your mind give way to the “unborn awareness” present with you at birth and continue as YOU in the eternities. Relax into living. No experience can be explained by the educated or inspired, but each breath you take in each moment you live is brushing the eternal YOU. That is, there is no description.

No one can know what the universe won’t tell, and it doesn’t reveal much, leaving what we think we know as little more than a melding of theory, conjecture, and make-believe. All you can know is that “what YOU are” creates an exquisite, cosmic soup with no recipe but contains the most beautiful ingredients and delicious flavors. You’ll “get it” when “what you know” is no longer known. Do you see?
What you know is the chemical additives and artificial flavors mixed in with an already tasty and healthy entrée. You don’t need them to relish the meal. All you need do is to be present at the table, open to surprise and adventure. Bon appétit!

The mind is eager to jump on board with new buzz words, concepts, and “aha’s,” but the typical mechanism for doing so is “weaponized philosophy” that often looks like “I must comprehend, integrate and blend “mentally” (with all the crap I think and believe already) so this “new thing” can find a permanent place in me.” Do you see?
Trying to control, deny, or repress philosophically “what is” will never alter “what is.” It will, however, embed deeper into what you wish to replace, undo, or integrate. Reality is always and only “what it is,” and you never “get it” by trying to understand it. “Getting it” is living “it” as a present-moment experience. All discovery happens in the present, not the thought of the present but the unconscious experience of it, just as it is.
Don’t try clearing your mind of what you don’t want or like. There is always a blue sky” that is there regardless of a cloudy mind. Holster your weapons (philosophy) and embrace the clouds with nary a thought that something is wrong and needs fixing. See, it’s already clearing!

Nothing you know, experience, believe, or do indicates what (who) YOU are. The path to awareness of YOU is a present one, burdened by the weight of things important to the world and your mind, none of which are. Getting to “Self” is as easy as getting over yourself. However, getting over yourself is a challenge your mind will not let go of smoothly, and indeed, the world will assist with reminders of how important the unimportant is.
Awareness of “What YOU Are” is worth any effort to dis-identify with what “you” or anyone else “thinks” you are. If you “do” anything, do that!

Heaven forbid you ever become what you think. What YOU are would be sorely missed. Actually, most, if not all of us, are sorely missed. Come back, and when you get here, l could use some help returning, too.

The awareness most seek begins amidst a nightmare created in the mind and well-articulated in speech. In other words, your judgment of how horrible things are is not the place to start anything, let alone spiritual awareness. Your mind will always remind you of the difficult position from which your search began, and that will be the anchor keeping you from what it is you think you must find.
You must awaken within the nightmare you have determined exists and “get” that what you think is real is only because you think it. The awakening that keeps you separate is a continuation of an already predetermined nightmare you believe is what separates you from it. In other words, sweet dreams and nightmares are not real. YOU are!

Your search for whatever it is you seek is a coming from or a going to. Did you get that? Coming from is the past and going to is the future. Neither exists. In other words, “what is” is all there is, and it requires nothing you seek in the “non-existent” (past or future) to know its miracles. Life never passes you by; you do that unwittingly looking for it where it cannot be. Where YOU stand now is holy ground; not what you search for elsewhere. Stand still and know the looker who looks. That’s when you see.

The struggle to be good, however you define it, takes enormous amounts of vibratory energy, starting with the definitions of good and bad held in memory, along with all sorts of mental muck and nonsense. Until you can get beneath (before) the definitions you hold of anything containing an antithetical opposite, you will surrender your very life force to an argument based on relics of the past. That is, you will struggle with yourself over the opposite of yourself, neither of which exists in reality. I’m losing energy just saying it!
“What YOU are” exists before anything you thought in the past, now, or will think in the future. There is no struggle as there is no opposite in that awareness. Knowing YOU has no opposite; it does, however, save so much energy. Let all the “opposites” you struggle with go with a mocking giggle and friendly smile. What YOU are will take care of the rest; what YOU are is pretty darned amazing!

What YOU are cannot be studied, analyzed, defined, described, broken down, and reassembled in a form you think needs to be. Do you see? What you “think” you are is opposed to what YOU actually are, and any human endeavor to understand YOUR infinite nature takes you further from it.
YOU are Gods, dressed as humans, splendid, magnificent, and wonderful, but without any means, physically, mentally, consciously, or spiritually, to know how much more than that YOU are. It’s not worth any effort to “humanly” challenge what can only be “known” when you (the human) accept that “what YOU are” is unknowable by any means human.
The sage instructed, ” Just be still. ” Silence lets what is be “what is,” and while all is still and quiet, the unknowable holds you in its comfort, allowing the infinite to peer inside you. You will never be the same, even though you “know,” but you’ll never know why you know.

To the extent of what you know, you may be right, but can you ever be sure if you don’t know everything there is to know?
Question your “rightness” until you are sure that you know more; infinitely more, which, if you consider it, will never come about because infinity is unfathomable and unknowable. A good practice until you do “know everything” is to say nothing at all as a defense of what you “know.” It will make for more “peace” in your life, too.
