Discontent arises when you attempt to replace what is with something you make up that isn’t. Do you see? Trying to replace “what is” with something else to soothe your discontent is running from the very essence of life. That is, you live what is, but only imagine what isn’t. One is real and the other unreal, and you will never know fullness until you stop trying to replace what is with something else that isn’t. What it boils down to is that life lived as a “supposed to be” will always be a miserable life because “what is” doesn’t listen to anything you think it should be. It just is, and so should you! Running from what makes you unhappy is not going to take you to happy. If you can’t find it here, now, you won’t find it anywhere else.
There are no replacements for the present. Take what you get, as running to nowhere can be exhausting.

The search you embark on takes time, e.g., “in time I will get to the thing I seek,” but no one ever does because time does not exist. It is the great deception of the ego to lure you into getting something, you must pay the price of time for. We even create mythologies to extend the “time” we have to figure it out. Do you see? Time cannot be a cause of change. The present is the only place where anything can happen. In other words, everything happens NOW, where time has no existence, and change has no future. YOU are infinite but only NOW! Live instead of looking; it’s just more fun!

All your effort to comprehend life isn’t worth it if you miss out on it. You’ll never know, nor will anyone. Meaning and purpose are myths your mind conjures and sends you in pursuit of, all the while life presents itself in myriad ways no mind, or collection of minds, could fathom, let alone know it when it saw it. What is all too often missing from life is “you” when you’re out pursuing something your mind has you chasing after. Did you get that? You are the essential ingredient to all of life. Living, coupled with your active participation in it, is where joy is, and while you may never know why happiness springs from within you, it won’t matter. Living is its own party, and it alone overrides all mind-based nonsense you happen to be seeking. You’ve got a life; why not live it?

“Your reality” has everything to do with what you think, but “true reality” has nothing to do with what you think. Thinking is your bias, and that is all. It is neither true nor untrue; it is just bias formed over the life you have experienced. Stepping away from bias (what you think) is difficult, if not impossible, but it is the only way to experience true reality, and it is the only way to appreciate the vast mystery you are surrounded by.
It is not incumbent upon you or anyone else to know or answer life’s mysteries. Life is simply yours to live without reason or why, and the fewer reasons and whys you have, the more abundant it is. That is, “reality” is as close as losing “your reality.”

Each day, this day greets you with arms open, the kiss of sunshine, nature, and all that burst forth in heavenly nuance, not because it has all of this life to give but because YOU are its Creator. The smile of all that is is your smile, your breath, your love. My smile and love in return are the only way I can share my gratitude with you for this, YOUR creation!

When you are truly engaged with life, you are not thinking about it; you’re living it. Or, make that, it is living you. Adding what you “think” is happening distorts the present because it is impossible to know “what is” (now) when it is infused with your remembrances, dreams, point of view, and conditioning. There is no formula for living that you learn over time and commit to memory for a future experience. You step into life uncloaked from what you think, and “what is” shows itself unfettered and pure as silence itself. Give life your emptiness, and it will fill you to the full.

Your search for whatever it is you seek is a coming from or a going to. Did you get that? Coming from is the past, and going to is the future. Neither exists. In other words, “what is” is all there is, and it requires nothing you seek in the imaginary to know its miracles. Life never passes you by; you do that, unwittingly, looking for it where it cannot be. Where YOU stand now is holy ground, not what you search for. Stand still and know the looker who looks. That’s seeing.

Silence has no words, associations, descriptions, or assumptions for the present moment you create. It is not the opposite of noise as most of us think of it. It is all things without definition, spring without winter, fall without summer, life billowing without meaning. Silence is where the miraculous precedes the mundane. It is everything and nothing, smiling at the ALL that has no explanation. It is YOU smiling with the created.

Thinking is a by-product of memories, and memories, being of the past, never have relevance to the present, no matter how deeply rooted they are. You are never free to “newness” if you are thinking, e.g., subjugating, “what is” to what you remember. Awareness rests in a mind that knows nothing of the moment it is experiencing and only looks with wonder and awe at the undefined purity of now. No memory or thought will ever equal its beauty!

Humans have the unique tendency to point at things they desire or at people to look up to or down upon as if to steer themselves away from the inevitability of living their own lives. It’s like living by comparison instead of merely living. “What is” is completely transparent and fully exposed in the present moment. Still, in that instant, you desire something else, look to another for any reason, transparency is lost, and confusion takes over. What happens is not happening to you; never! YOU are happening to it, and if you give way to desires, beliefs, leaders, teachers, etc., you are accepting these “confusions” as your own, and you will be confused.
“What is” is all you can be, and accepting it is awareness of YOU as “all that is’s” creator. It’s pretty cool when you (don’t) think about it!
