There is so much going on right in front of us, but we look back at what happened in a previous, nonexistent moment and parse, dice, and second-guess what could have or should have been said or done after the fact when it no longer matters. Do you see? That meeting with your boss, where you could have said this, other than that, the discussion with friends about world affairs and the point you were trying to make would have been better stated had you expressed it another way. That scarf you knitted would have been nicer had you thought of doing it another way, which you hadn’t thought of while doing it, the golf shot that would have been closer to the target had you only used this or that club, etc. “If only” is unreal, and to recount and rehearse what “might have been” will not improve anything you do now, including some learning you think will benefit you in the nonexistent future.

Living in the present does not give you a second chance to “get it right” in some well-rehearsed future moment. It just gives a brand new, fresh, clean moment, and whatever your performance is now is always perfect until you take it apart “after the fact.” Don’t take it apart! Smile at your dalliances with life and get engaged with what is right now. Life is not a performance-driven affair. It’s just fun if you let it be fun. You can’t fail, so let it go.

In a single drop of rain, you know the ocean. A whisper breathes the strongest winds, and in every grain of sand is the mountain at whose base it lies. Your heart is the heartbeat of eternity, so it stands that the aware know their heart. Do you?

Unpackage yourself. That is, the labels and descriptions, the what’s and who’s you wrap yourself in, are not the liberation or expansion of a “you” you think you are or will be if you tell yourself often enough. The absolute smallest, most uninteresting packages emanate from your mind. In other words, if you must define and state the “box” of goodies you see yourself as, e.g., “this, that, and a bunch of other stuff you think important,” your mind, along with the rest of us, will always make sure you stay in your box. After all, you keep telling us what you are.
There is no box if you are “outside” it, and no one ever needs to know what, or who YOU are. Besides, you’ll experience more when you don’t have to kick at the sides of some silly package you made up anyway.

It is not your diet, health regimen, philosophical viewpoint, “facemask,” etc., that extends life or makes it worth living. Life shouldn’t be considered in terms of “extension,” and all the things you believe you need to pack into it. Do you see? You live and try as you might, you will never live more than you live. That is why “now” is so amazing. It’s all there is, and it contains the life you live, not the life you think about, pursue, or wish for.
Any thought, or fantasy of something better than now, cheats “what is” from the full bloom it will share with you if you let it. And “letting it” is simply living it. You’ve got “now;” don’t let it get away without your full participation!

Fearing the death of human form is a monumental waste of human experience. Like memories carried into the present, anchoring fear, anger, sadness, melancholy, etc., to the unreal, dying anchors you to pitiful holdings your mind has convinced you are valuable beyond human form. There is no “beyond,” and what you think or believe is not essential. What YOU are is, but IT (YOU) is so inexpressible that it is just another waste of experience to consider it at all.
What YOU are can only be known in the present, which swallows up all timelines, lamenting not the past nor fantasizing the future. Take counsel with death instead of fearing it, and your experience of life will be “living.”

The “search” most embark on is more of an attempt to return to the safety and security of the mythological garden where all is provided and mother, father, and angels stand guard over you. Peace and plenty, no toil or labor, lion aside the lamb, and milk and honey to your heart’s content, e.g., “safety” is the search. You may find some safety and security in such a search, but you will never really know what YOU are. That requires the “thistles and the thorns” living ensures. As “myths” go, Adam and Eve were not cast out of the garden – they were cast into it.
Your life is your garden, and it is full of treasure, only hidden by your thoughts of something else. Let go of the security of “home” that once was, and you will find that YOU never left.

Hope for the future is not the desire for something altogether new; instead, it is the secret wish that the good remembered either return or grow in dimension, e.g., more of the same. Present thoughts that steer you into fantasy and desire are nothing more than a virtual life, e.g., fiction. A movie version of what isn’t with which you can avoid what is. You are what you think” is a myth. You are what you are, and “what you are” is rooted in the field of “what is,” and it contains no thought or fantasy, hope, belief, or desire. Thoughts cannot undo YOU, but they can mask YOU in make-believe.
When it comes to YOU, if you are “thinking” it, it just ain’t so. There is always more to YOU than you think. So stop thinking and see.

What you think of yourself, regardless of grandiosity, power, strength, or humility, does not come close to what YOU are for the simple reason that your mind, where all thought originates, is incapable of thinking that big. Descriptions or labels, such as “infinite,” eternal,” even “I AM,” are limited by your mind’s definition of those terms and inability to comprehend the unknowable, making any definition of you little more than denigration. What YOU are, underneath anything you “think” is unspeakable; therefore, your silence, in every way, is as close as you will ever get to knowing. Shhhh…, there YOU are.

The illusion underlying all we think is real is that infinity leaves nothing out and contains everything we believe is new or has yet to be done. Do you see? “There is nothing new under the sun,” as the saying goes, meaning there is nothing past and nothing future but only the isness of the present moment, and within this moment all that “was” is, and all that is to come is here now, along with you who thinks otherwise.
You can freely leave the present, but only in your mind, and at the cost of “knowing” the infinite of which YOU are. That is, YOU are boundless, and that’s just inexpressible because infinity is unknowable. Embrace yourself, and you embrace everyone, everything, and the heavens sing!
