Your causes, beliefs, and life principles have far more power when your life reflects them at all times and in all places. How easy it is to put on display disdain for the “other” and return to safety and comfort at the end of a good demonstration. Do you see? You cannot say your cause matters when its propagation reviles the very reason it became a cause. Hate, fear, violence, and exclusion, to bring about one, will not replace those who love the other. Appeasement is not acceptance; it is fear. Love finds its way through fear; it is the only thing that can.
Love in your heart lives love. Always, without exception or equivocation.

Attempting to make sense of the past is little more than fodder for the creation of fiction. That is, we make stuff up about why things happened as they did and the great lessons, learnings, and insights they led to. We say things like “the past made me what I am today,” even though what YOU are is not fiction, nor are you the accumulation of any experiences whatsoever. Do you see?
Files in the file cabinet do not make a file cabinet. Remove the files, and the file cabinet still is a file cabinet. It just is, as are YOU, and nothing you hold on to or make up about what’s in the files (cabinet), or what you think you have learned from them, will alter the reality of you being YOU without history, meaning, or purpose. “Now” is rich with the fullness of emptiness, and it beckons you to fill it with mystery, unfettered by memory. No fiction could enrich you more.

Life, for most of us, is a formulation, a description based solely on conditioning and the ultimate acceptance that “this is how it is.” The range is extensive and varies from “I matter; I don’t matter, I’m good; I’m bad, etc.,” but it’s not which side of the range you see yourself or others on. It’s that you embrace a range of any scale at all! Do you see? As long as you hold to your description of the world and feed it with all the supporting “collective evidence” that you are right, you will always be bound to your judgments, and sadly, miss the beauty before you. In other words, you cannot rise above what you believe.
You can, however, cease to believe anything and come to know only the splendor that cannot be judged. Such “splendor” is everywhere and in everyone. Yes, even YOU!

Your point of view is your tyranny; thus, it is your point of distraction. That is, you’re right, and everybody else is wrong, separates you from the whole to which you belong. No Point of view is worth the divide between brother and sister, especially if it comes with anger and unkindness. Things like love, compassion, kindness, joy, mercy, and grace are innate in each of us, but they only surface when we are free from the distractions of right and wrong. So, stop the game of being right or wrong.
Let the “innate” that already is your nature be your only face. Such a face repels no one.

The supplication of all desire is that God, The Universe, Source, or some other defined or undefined higher power will give you what you want, but what you want is always a development of mental processes. Do you see?
Your mind seeks only “other” that lies outside what YOU know, which cannot be defined. In other words, your desires steer you away from the source of all that is, e.g., YOU. Thinking of “better” rather than “what is” removes you from reality and into the unreality of what isn’t, and even if you somehow get to “what isn’t” at a later time, “desire” for something else will soon spur you on to “other,” again, and again, and again.
Knowing YOU, beyond any mental “knowing,” frees you from what you think and sets you into the actual real that few ever experience. There is nothing that is not YOU, but you’ll never get there through thought. The saying, “desire lights the fire,” might better be said, “desire snuffs out the fire.” Know YOU, and you will never “not” know joy, peace, and happiness!

Your judgments are the evidence your mind develops to separate you from the world and others. It is a colossal refusal to know yourself and reality. If others or the world, in general, offend you, you are in denial of the nightmare that rages within yourself. Until you awaken from that “outward-looking,” your fitful dreaming will prevent you from ever seeing what YOU are.
Your awakening is not a change in the world or in what you perceive as wrong or right. It is your reunion with it and the joyful realization that YOU are not a dream but the Creator of those who do. Reunite, and there is your love, your reality, and eternal peace.

Strip away all you identify with, such as political or religious affiliations, beliefs, philosophies, causes, friendships, education, notoriety, acclaim, social status, ownership of things, career or school, positions, accomplishments, etc., and you end up in a place where no thought can stick to anything. At least anything worth thinking about. Do you see?
What you see yourself as, in human perspective, tears you away from knowing what YOU are. Your mind invents drama and game playing that is so superficial and unimportant that it usurps the very freedom you think you are entitled to, but don’t have, because what you think takes form in the game your mind is playing. Set the game aside, even for just a short while. This is the power of quiet, silence, and meditation. No purpose whatsoever, and no trying to get something you think you need. Keep even your most sublime memories out of the quiet, and YOU emerge, unremembered, but never having gone away. Then, enjoy, YOU; that’s all that’s left.

Your mind is a thing that generates thoughts that seek out things in three-dimensional form, which culminate in your identity with those things. Do you see? Accumulation of “things” does little more than give your mind reasons to identify with those things and just more things to think about.
When you are told to surrender “things,” your mind goes into a struggle, that something must be given up, but that is not surrendering; it’s resistance, and another thing to get you thinking. Surrender and the ultimate freedom it ensures is taking away the power that your thoughts have invested in things. In other words, it frees you from thinking about “things” to think about.
Identity is a thing, and anything you think you are (identify as) distracts from the real. YOU cannot be thought or imagined, but YOU can be known, but that happens only when you have nothing left to “think” about. What to do? Start undoing things by not thinking about them!

Freedom is not what you think. The inalienable has no definition and is no possessor of the free. If you “think” you have a “right” to anything you believe qualifies as freedom, you are no longer free. You are a slave to your thoughts; we all are. However, you will always have “what is,” and that requires nothing from you but living it.

Your “spiritual searching” sidelines reality and removes you from the only possible place where transformation can take place. That is right here, right now. Hoping for something other than “what is” delays any opportunity to experience what your silence already knows.

At any given moment, yes, even this moment, YOU are already far above any dream you have. Opening your mind to dreams is closing your mind to reality. YOU, present, is the only dream worth experiencing.
