Reconciliation with life is not possible if you require an understanding of what life is about, why you are what you are, why you are here, and what, if anything, lies beyond it. Such questions are mysteries no “mind” will ever comprehend, and they are also distractions that draw you away from the life you have.

Life is a present moment reckoning where all that lies before you lives its full measure without any explanation or meaning. The “reckoning” is that you, too, can live fully in concert with everything else, as is, and without expectations that dissatisfaction, in any way, is of your own making.

It is a difficult thing to let go of all the neat little revelations you’ve determined are reasons for why things are as they are, but doing so stops an activity of your mind that always yields an erroneous result. You just don’t and won’t know, so let go. “Not-knowing” is surprisingly vast and profound, “knowing.”

Making sense of life, a futile practice of all humans, requires you to vacate any beliefs you have about it. While that won’t necessarily help it make sense, it may just free you from the notion that life need not make sense to be loved and fully lived.
The clean slate always gets the newest chalk, e.g., new formulations, challenges, and encounters. Clear yourself of any idea that you have or can figure life out, and you will soar into a vast unknown that has no boundaries but exhilarates with surprise and wonder each moment. Exciting day, Carl

Thinking is a noisy affair that creates a chaotic mind, whose constant chatter drowns out silence, the emptiness into which all that is real emerges. Do you see? Nothing you think is real; it’s conceptual, and the very act of conceptualizing reality takes you into the land of dreams, hopes, and beliefs, which only adds noise to the already unreal.
The saying, “Be still and know that I (you are) am God,” is not a roadmap detailing how you come to “know” God or even your so-called self. It is a simple petition that you cannot “think” your way to knowing what YOU already are, so why “think” about it at all? Your eyes see what they see without you or anyone else understanding how or why they do.
Silence is creation, and YOU are the Creator. Silence lets you be that. Don’t give it a single thought!

You cannot be stressed, angry, sad, depressed, unhappy, etc., if you are not thinking about it. All emotional responses have a direct link to thinking, which is always a narrow, singularly focused view of life, and it is likely made up as well. In short, thinking about what is happening is not your friend; instead, it is your deception.
There is, however, a part of you that sees all and knows all, all without knowing anything at all. Confusing? Yes, but it is that part of you that never listens to the other voice in your head that chatters incessantly. “Quiet” is spacious, teeming with life, and has no ears to hear what you, otherwise, noisily think.
You need not “focus” on listening. That’s just another thing to think about. All you need to do is be quiet. The first thing you might hear is your heartbeat. That is the door, and it’s anyone’s guess what’s on the other side. Walk through it anyway.

Awareness “knows” no truth. You see, it doesn’t need to. “It” already is, all that is. You, me, anyone, everyone attempting to define awareness is not the truth, but rather the tainting of it. Eyes open to truth are, simply, open.

The cost of awareness is your certainty, knowledge, beliefs, hopes, dreams, etc., which is far too high for most to pay. After all, illusion provides some semblance of safety, comfort, and security, so the “search” for something else is a search for “more” of the same, e.g., no search at all. It’s no different than paying a therapist to make you crazier.

If your so-called “search” does not upset every sensibility you possess, every single thing you think you know, you’re skipping down a road, “adding to” your illusion. Reality is unfixed, ambiguous, and upside down from anything you think it should be, and its only promise is that life, in all its forms, is mysterious, dangerous, unsafe, but wondrous in every way. In simple terms, “less (of all you think) is (really) more.”

Truth gets swept into the unimportant and the unnecessary, and you hold the broom that so masterfully does the sweeping. The clear view is not beholden to thought; the only thing needing sweeping is what you believe. Clear your mind, and the house is without the need for sweeping.

If all that is is spiritual (and it is), then any position you take, belief you hold, and judgments you make are no more spiritual than others you disparage. Spirituality has nothing to do with your sense of right but everything to do with your sense of wrong. That is, loving the wrong you compare to your right.
Love and spirituality know no opposites. Do you?

Life hides nothing from you, and there are no hidden secrets, no formulas for success or security. It unfolds as it does, not “to you” or “for you” or with profound reasons that benefit the wise, knowledgeable, and enlightened. Humans make that stuff up only because they can but shouldn’t.
Making up reasons for your life is the path to frustration and upset. Transparency, wonder, mystery, and excitement are what is and will run the gamut of your human capabilities. Only you can create an illusion or a lie, and that will always separate you from real beauty and truth. Embrace your day and experience its reality.

How much do you really know? How much can you know? The paradox of human affairs is that we “think” we’re pretty smart and make well-informed decisions and assessments when, in reality, we never have enough data. All judgments are speculative at best and always based on insufficient information.
Question your thoughts as incessantly as they permeate your mind. You may not be able to stop them, but you may get an ever so slight chance to withhold ill-advised judgments and unnecessary complications in your dealings with others.
