Those who search, regardless of what they do or how they do it, encounter the most significant obstructions to what they seek in the actual doing. That is the mechanics of doing that gets in the way of what the doing is supposed to bring about, and humans are notoriously proficient at getting in their own way. When you break from doing (mechanics), you uncover the power of your unique silence, wherein unfoldment happens, which is a wonderland of mystery and activity no “doing” could ever compare to. Nor could any search lead you to it.
Rest from doing what you think you must do; home is where YOU are when your “doing” is left undone.

Don’t try to solve problems that don’t exist. If you are thinking you’re likely thinking about something that already happened, the outcome of which cannot be altered, or what you hope happens in the future, that probably won’t happen any way you think it should. “What is” is all you’ve got, and it does not need kibitzing from a chattering mind that assumes it has any control. Listen to yourself. You might even get a good laugh at what marvels of nonsense your mind comes up with. But only laugh, then let it go! You have things to do that can only be done in the present. Besides, when you’re present, it’s a whole lot quieter!

Spirituality, awakening, awareness, enlightenment, whatever you call it, only exists in the present. You cannot experience it anywhere else, not even in a so-called previous experience. It has no residence in the past or the future, as those are just memories or imagination. In other words, spirituality is a constant, present-moment reality that you always are; there is never a becoming, searching-for, and finding. To speak of it in any way or to speak as if you have a mantle because you have awakened is to step out of the real. Awakening is the ultimate humbling that lacks for words but thunders silence. Be thunderous.

“Words hurt,” as it is sometimes said, but they really don’t. What hurts is an egoic reaction to them, and “reaction” is an expression of your ego defending what it believes is essential to its formulated and unreal importance. What YOU are underneath your ego doesn’t care, nor can it be hurt. It simply smiles at every encounter, every interaction, everyone, and everything.
You need not protect yourself from others’ words. If you are whole and know what it is that lives beneath the noise of the mind (ego), there is nothing to be protected from. Know YOU, and you know no hurt or fear. Seriously!

Today is your day. Not in the sense that it comes to you bearing gifts and experiences fit for your joy, fulfillment, and happiness. Instead, you are its creator, and every miracle it contains, every encounter it provides, is born of your hands. Humans go to great lengths to find things wrong with others and perhaps, even worse, find things right about themselves. It’s the dance of ego, e.g., “I am right, and you are wrong,” and everyone’s toes get stepped on in this dance. It’s as if the ego is seeking who is the most miserable among us and how each individual ego compares overall. In other words, where does my misery stack up with everyone else’s?
Don’t look for reasons to categorize misery, yours or theirs. Just dance, and if your toes get stepped on, keep dancing! The beat of living never stops, and neither should you. Fill your dance card with joy and abandon. There are no judges, and there are no winners, losers, or honorable mentions! Now, who wants to boogie?

Clarity has nothing to do with how or what you think about something. On the contrary, thinking makes clarity impossible. The present moment, before any thought, is free of any impurity (thought, belief, judgment, etc.) and is the clearest you will ever be. Adding anything to that pureness is little more than dragging the past into the present, and that is all thinking can do. Be silent, be clear.
