YOU have no potential. That’s right, none at all. But you don’t need it either. The potential self you think you must become is lower than what YOU are without such thoughts. Potential comes with lists and “to-dos,” rights and wrongs, and made-up stuff stemming from your buy-in to the paradigm that says everyone is on a path to improve and learn. Climb the mountain, and you will see, it is said, but all you see is another mountain and a list of things you must do to conquer it. “I wonder if I have the ‘potential, blah, blah, blah?’”
Climb mountains, not because you must get to the top to benefit from some “potential” improvement myth. YOU are already atop the highest of them all, and not once did you ascend to get there! Don’t look down; just let go. Awareness sees nothing but beauty, and YOU are already there! That is, if you drop out of the school of “potential.”

You are the maker of the mountain you think you must climb, not the climber of it. The view from the top is yours only when you get that what YOU are is where you are. Rest a bit and have a look. There’s nothing more beautiful than the “top” upon which you presently stand!

The basis of all religions, all spirituality, is to separate you from the form (consciousness) you think you are. That is, to free you from any connection that hooks you to mind and body. Your mind makes a compelling case for form and weaves itself into every aspect of life, making it challenging to “unhook” and recognize that something much more profound and mysterious is the real essence of your existence. The more you want, the more you think about getting, and the more you get, the stronger the pull into mind and body. YOU are more than any thought your mind conjures, but your mind will keep on inventing grandiose and profound form-filled scenarios to keep you, the finite, from knowing YOU, the infinite. Solution? Think less, believe less, and lo, YOU emerge.

Separation is uniquely “I” (ego) based. That is, whatever reasoning or beliefs you adhere to, whether religion, politics, nationality, gender, ethnicity, social status, education, etc., you are the sole source of separation and any discord you sense is with that which lies outside your point of view. Furthermore, those who subscribe to your separation (agree with you) do not make you “one” with them. It just feeds your ego with the security of numbers, e.g., “look at all those who feel and believe as I do. I (we) must be right.”
Your “truth,” as it is bandied about in spiritual speak, is not truth if in any way it separates you from another, regardless of any moral code you subscribe to. Oneness is love, and love is without reason of any kind. Sinner or saint is not distinguishable. Love is our core and thus surrounds us all.

Give way to the mystery that is the foundation of your experience. Embrace love instead, and whatever unfolds, it will carry you through. Lighten the load of all that you feel you must shoulder, especially the burdens of heavy thoughts and resentments. The less you have to think about, the less you have to fear.
Ease, always, into life with your wits, kindness, and smile. Life will smile back.

The “best” never comes. It just is, and it is right now. It’s not how you view it that makes it so. Your view is fraught with beliefs, judgments, prejudices, conjectures, hopes, and dreams, so much so that actual awareness of “what is” rarely happens. Seeing has no voice, no mind, and no description, and “the best” is always right now, right where you are, and it is oozing with beauty. And why wouldn’t it be beautiful? YOU created it and, well, YOU are the best!

Oneness with now is free of any want for something else. In other words, the ultimate living is life, as is.

The past is unfixable, the future unattainable. A single thought of either transports you from the intimacy that only exists where you stand at this moment. Look only to now, and you will never be without love and the peace afforded only in the present.

Fear of the unknown is ultimately fear of losing the known. That is, your mind braces at giving up the comfort of what it thinks it knows for something it cannot define. Agreements, with what you think you know, are neat little traps that hold you to comfort, not reality. You will never “know” what you don’t know until what you know is put aside. It’s a leap into mystery from which there is no return, but there is nothing like it in all the “known” and “unknown” universe! Take a breath, close your eyes, and let go! It’ll last forever!

Life is without motive, and living should be too. Ego has motives that thwart the very essence of living with something perceived that must be achieved. What you are, before any thought, is stillness and tranquility ungarbled by the difficulties of change and achievement, motivated by an insatiable ego that must have in order to be. Motives driven by desire require prior knowledge and thought, while life, in its purest form, is a mystery, unabated by anything you think it is or should be. Taking a step into living is not an act of faith; it’s an act of courage requiring stepping into the unknown and the unknowable. Think about it all you want, and you still don’t know.
